Apple Takes Top Spot on 2011 Brand List

For four years Google has ranked No. 1 as the world’s most powerful brand, according to the Millward Brown’s Brandz study. Millward Brown is company that does an annual study of the top global brands. This year, Apple stole the top spot from Google and there’s one main reason for that: “It is really the iPad that has driven Apple’s growing brand value although the iPhone has continued to do magnificently too,” says Peter Walshe, global Brandz director at Millward Brown.
