This is a real question. Bill Keller’s column in The New Times Magazine posed the question whether sites like Twitter and Facebook, taking so much of our time, could be making us dumber, in a sense. The response to that can be seen in Nick Bilton’s The New Times bit where he offers a few answers: “If I only followed funny cats that speak with poor grammar, I’d be on my way to a vapid state of mind in no time.
