Turntable.fm Raises $7 Million in Round

Turntable.fm, an online music service, caught on this summer as a way to share and discover music online. On Wednesday the New York-based company announced that it has raised $7 million dollars in a founding round led by Union Square Ventures. Gowalla Relaunches and Repositions at TechCrunch Disrupt

Yesterday Gowalla co-founder and CEO Josh Williams took the TechCrunch Disrupt stage to say Gowalla is dead, long live the new Gowalla. The company, whose iOS and Android apps have allowed checkins since 2009, has ceded that space to Foursquare. Foursquare Introduces Event Check-ins

Now, a sports fans checking in at Yankee Stadium will also post information about what game he or she is at.
