My colleague went to the IBM Partnerworld conference in St Louis last
week. She was mesmerized by the brilliance of
some of the speakers who are some of the true
thought leaders in business today.

Looking to each side during one of these great
speeches, she was aghast at the inattentive men
demonstrating their continual crackberry addictions...

She looked over the shoulder of a couple of these
gentlemen curiously wondering, "What could be
so important as to miss a speech as important
as this? These must be some huge business
deals going on here."

Nope. Girlfriend emails. Sports talk. A bunch
of time wasting crap.

But they always do it in such a way as to look
very important. High tech men who want to
look important when they're really not never
fail these days to bring out their
cellphone/pda/camera/ipod/blogging/email
device.

It's the new makeup for men.
