The first time I met Jason Pollock was NOT on Twitter. We met in person because he was a panelist at Inc.’s GrowCo conference in Las Vegas earlier this year. The irony is that Pollock is known for being one of the most influential people on Twitter. I was fascinated to actually meet someone in person that is better known for his online interactions than in-person networking. Mobile Payment Battle Wages On

If you were debating which mobile card reader service to go with, Intuit just leveled the playing field.  TechCrunch reports that Inuit’s GoPayment reader, which competes directly with Square, dropped the transaction fee ($0.15 per transaction). The change takes effect today and it’s for both new and existing customers and for Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards, both swiped and key-entered as well as qualified and non-qualified transactions.
