
The Nielsen Company reveals that TV ownership has dropped from 98.9 percent to 96.7 percent. The New York Times reports that there are two primary reasons for the decline: poverty and technological wizard. The fact of the matter is that when the analog to digital switch happened in 2009, some household simply could not afford it. This is something Nielsen expected.
