Broodr is Like Etsy for Geeks

Right in time for the holiday shopping season I stumbled upon Broodr.com, where you can buy things like an “awesomely retro” 8-Track stereo that has been “upcycled” to play music from an iPod, a brass and rosewood iPhone case, or a Star Wars Yoda door mat that says “Welcome you are.”

While not everything for sale at Broodr has a tech spin, much of it does seem to be on the weirdly creative side. Check out these knitted beards [1] crafted by two women in Utah, for example. Another odd knitted item nearly any middle-school-aged boy would love to find under the tree: This Cthulhu ski hat [2] for only $20.

If you have an invention or geeked-out product you’d like to peddle, Broodr might be worth trying. The site uses PayPal as its payment platform and charges a 5% commission.
