Broodr is Like Etsy for Geeks

Have an invention or geeked-out product you’d like to peddle this holiday season? This site might put you in touch with a different kind of buyer.

Right in time for the holiday shopping season I stumbled upon Broodr.com, where you can buy things like an “awesomely retro” 8-Track stereo that has been “upcycled” to play music from an iPod, a brass and rosewood iPhone case, or a Star Wars Yoda door mat that says “Welcome you are.”

While not everything for sale at Broodr has a tech spin, much of it does seem to be on the weirdly creative side. Check out these knitted beards crafted by two women in Utah, for example. Another odd knitted item nearly any middle-school-aged boy would love to find under the tree: This Cthulhu ski hat for only $20.

If you have an invention or geeked-out product you’d like to peddle, Broodr might be worth trying. The site uses PayPal as its payment platform and charges a 5% commission.
