Google+ to Allow Pseudonyms, Apps Integration

One of the biggest barriers for Google+ [1] adoption for many folks was Google’s insistence on real names rather than pseudonyms. For some, it’s a matter of privacy. For others, it was how they are recognized online, their brand. Well, Google will now allow pseudonyms.
Why has it taken so long? According to Sergey Brin and Vic Gundotra, the company wanted to work out security policies, including how to deal with minors. Brin and Gundotra say there will also be Google Apps integration, so users won’t have to, say, set up separate Gmail account in order to use G+.
Does this mean that the company that infamously booted Nike and Coke might also consider brands as people?
