Google Debuts More Apps for Mobile Search

Google [1] has just released a host of mobile apps designed to help consumers in their search for businesses and products. These new products will take consumers from search to locations—both real and virtual. The new releases means that developers can place more relevant ads within an app’s search. It also means that businesses have a powerful tool for reaching prospective customers. One app, Circulars, lets customers search display ads by simply clicking on a product photo; they can send the circular to their mobile device, then simply flash their phone in the store to receive the offer.
With more than 40 percent of mobile searches occurring on Google, it makes sense that the company would release these apps—just in time for the holiday season.
