For those hankering for a Granola Bar of the Month Club, enter Lollihop. The Palo Alto start-up puts a box of organic delectables on customers’ doormats monthly for $22.75 a month or $18.95 per box with a year’s subscription. Shipments include bags of chips, energy bars, and other health food items.

Lollihop chooses the items that get sent out, judging them on taste, nutritional value, and ingredients. Each box includes a report from Lollihop’s nutritionist providing information on each item. Eight snacks are typically included in each box. The company says snacks may be chosen from brands of all sizes, and have in the past included Macrobar, Somersaults, and 479 popcorn.

If you’ve never heard of these companies, that’s the point, Lollihop says. Company founder Suzanne Xie told reporters that $20 for a couple snacks may seem expensive, but high-quality organic food is hardly ever cheap.
