The past couple of days have been unkind to iPhone and BlackBerry users. Research In Motion is struggling with a BlackBerry outage that spread across the globe. Apple launched its upgrade to iOS 5 for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches, only to receive widespread complaints of crashes, non-working downloads, and even bricked iPhones.
Who’re you gonna call? In the midst of the chaos, @BenThePCGuy, a.k.a. Ben Rudolph of Microsoft tweeted two messages, one to BlackBerry users, one to iOS users, offering a gift of a Windows Phone 7.5 (“Mango”) phone for the 25 best tweeted gripes he received. My favorite so far from @everlifted: “I would have tweeted sooner from my BB about upgrading, but I had to finish my drink first (I use my BB as a cup coaster now).”
