Move over, CityVille, there’s a new game in town. Make that a slew of new games. Zynga, creator of popular social games on Facebook, is adding a pack of new products to its line-up. In addition to the just-announced CastleVille, the company has also developed Hidden Chronicles, Zynga Casino, and Project Z, its independent gaming network.
Castleville’s game play is similar to that of Farmville’s, says TechCrunch’s Alexia Tsotsis, except players build a medieval castle instead of a farm. Players will be able to craft art, trade, and defend their castle. Castleville will also have an original orchestral score.
The big news here, though, is Zynga’s development of its independent gaming network, Project Z, which lets players access Zynga games from a separate website. Users will still need a Facebook account to play, but Project Z will be interoperable with Facebook Connect.
