As more former TV and movie viewers head online to consume video, the number of U.S. households without traditional cable service will triple by 2016, according to a new report from Magnaglobal ^[1], a media forecasting firm.With the market for online video expanding further in this five-year period, about 9 million households will forgo cable subscription. About 44 percent are “cord cutters:” Former cable subscribers who get ride of their subscription. But the majority — around 5 million — will be current teenagers who will never subscribe to cable.
