
Sony is in final talks to buy the movie rights to the soon-to-be-released Steve Jobs biography. Jobs authorized the book, and it was written by former Time magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson. The biography was originally set to debut in November, but its publisher, Simon & Schuster, moved up the publication date to Oct. 24 following Jobs’ death last week.The studio will pay about $1 million for the film rights. Sony won big on the last biopic on a tech god: The Social Network won Oscars, made nearly $100 million domestically, and turned its young cast into superstars.
