
Bank of America customers dealt with nagging problems for six days without much information on the cause. Now, a week later, the bank has offered an explanation on what went wrong.Traffic. Lots of traffic and some technical difficulties that remain mysterious. The bank is also supposedly developing some new online tools and migrating to a new server. If this was the African plains, Bank of America might be that slow, rotund rhino at the end of a migrating stampede.Of course the sexier rumor was that Bank of America was under attack from angry hackers, upset over the financial institution’s new $5 charge for unlimited checking. No, not hackers, just inept IT, which should sound familiar. Ahem, Target.
