Internet Ad Revenue Keeps Growing and Growing and…

We know what you’ve heard: Internet advertising won’t replace dwindling print ads. But Internet-advertising revenues keeping growing and growing. In the first half of 2011, revenues reached $14.9 billion, according to new data from PricewaterhouseCoopers [1]. This is more than double the growth rate in revenues from the first half of 2010, up from 11.3.
The report predicts revenues will keep increasing through 2011. And you should probably forget the banner ads draped over the top of a website. The greatest avenue for advertising seems to be in video content. Video ad revenue reached $891 million in the first half of 2011.
