
Box.net announced a new version of its Windows Sync client, and the first-ever version of Box Sync for Mac OS X. According to PCWorld’s Tony Bradley, the cloud storage, sync and collaboration company also unveiled a variety of security enhancements, and new social integration with Salesforce.com’s Chatter platform. It also revealed new partnerships with HP and Motorola to preload the Box Sync client and app on business PCs and Xoom tablets, respectively.
Box.net CEO and co-founder Aaron Levie told the BoxWorks audience that Box.net currently has 7 million registered users who access more than 150 million files each month.
