Geekli.st Gives Techies a Place to Brag

It’s supposed to be more fun than either posting one’s experience on LinkedIn or writing a resume. Geekli.st is a new invitation-only service that lets technology pros announce their achievements in a microblog-like format (one recent example: “I built the first device driver for the Microsoft Mouse.”) Others can “high-five” an achievement they like, and the service can “ping” users with others’ achievements, TheNextWeb reports [1].
The idea is that techies will enjoy this way of noting their achievements and be quicker to post new accomplishments as they happen. And that, in time, an impressive set of Geekli.st accomplishments will help some of these geeks get new jobs.
Want to check it out? The general public can reserve a username, but then Geekli.st selects members to invite from that pool. Or, you may be able to skip that process by using one of TheNextWeb [1]‘s 300 invitations, while supplies last.
