If you’ve been on Google.com [1] today you may just possibly have noticed a gigantic blue arrow that drew itself across your screen and pointed ever-so-subtly to the Google+ link on the black bar across the top of the page. That’s Google’s unassuming way of telling the world that you no longer need an invitation to join G+–everyone everywhere is welcome, so come on in.

At the same time, Google has released the G+ application programming interface (API), allowing developers to plug G+ into their software, as Klout has announced [2] it will.

And in case that wasn’t enough to get your attention, Google is also offering a live hangout with superstar rapper will.i.am. at 9 p.m. Eastern time tonight. For the uninitiated, a hangout is a live group video chat that is part of the Google+ offering, along with circles and sparks.

Read more at TheNextWeb [3] and click here [4] at 9 to join tonight’s hangout.
