TripIt, a travel application for mobile devices, announced that it has developed a version of the app for devices that work on the Android platform. The app provides news and travel data gathered from TripIt’s user base.
The app (which we named best travel organizing app) comes in two versions for Android, a free version with ads and an ad-free version that costs $3.99. Like the app for iOS, the Android TripIt scans an uploaded travel itinerary, organizes all a user’s travel information in one place, and translates it into Google Calendar.
TripIt also released some data on its app’s users recently, finding, among other things, that users of the app on Android devices tend to be younger than those who use it on iPhones or Blackberries.
