Dome9 hopes to create a security system that operates like a firewall for public and private cloud-computing networks. A company that contracts with Dome9, a year-old Tel Aviv, Israel-based start-up, will need to integrate its infrastructure with Dome9, allowing the security system to remain flexible and respond quickly to security threats. For now Dome9, offers security software and an API that only works with Amazon’s EC2 service. Cost: $20 per server.
