What is your EdgeRank and why should you care? It’s the ranking Facebook uses to determine how many “fans” see your posts and it depends on things like how recent the post was, how many have “liked” or commented on it, and how many liked or commented on your previous post.
Assuming you do care how many people see your posts, there’s now a handy infographic from Post Planner showing exactly what to do to increase your EdgeRank. Tips include asking questions, especially those that can be answered with one word (“Ask ‘Would’ not ‘Why.’”); cropping photos carefully so that the small news feed version is enticing; and targeting different sets of fans with different posts.
Ignore this advice at your peril, for as the infographic says: “Fact: Fewer and fewer statuses get seen by fans.”
