Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One: An iPhone Prototype Walks Into a Bar…

Believe it or not, another prototype of the next cool not-yet-released iPhone was lost in a bar in California [1] sometime in July. The loss reportedly touched off a frantic investigation by Apple, which electronically traced the phone to a house in San Francisco–but a search of the house turned up nothing.
The last lost phone, which went missing in a Redwood City bar last year, was eventually purchased by Gizmodo for $5,000. The current lost phone may have been sold on Craigslist for $200. On the other hand, it’s apparently hard to tell from the outside that it’s different from the current model.
