Google Chrome Sees Steady Growth

Google’s [1]web browser, Chrome [2], jumped up to 15.5 percent of the market share as August came to a close and the browser celebrated its third birthday.
Since it was launched three years ago, Chrome’s growth has been steady, with the browser taking more of the market share with every month. Other browsers have not fared so well recently. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer [3]dropped to 55.3 percent of the market share from 56 percent, and Mozilla Firefox [4] fell to 22.6 percent from 22.8.
Possible reasons for the rise in market share could be attributed to increased use on mobile devices or an increase in Chromebook sales from Samsung Electronics [5] and Acer [6].
