Startup Voyurl tracks your browsing behavior to bring you “personally calibrated” recommendations for websites you would like. “They arrive on your screen ranked, filtered and ready to go,” the company claims. It will also turn your online behavior into a neat-o infographic.

Though only a month old, the company has already amassed a lot of press and a lot of usage–collectively its members have spent more than 14 years online. And in celebration of its first monthaversary, it’s analyzed its members’ habits and learned some factoids. Some are no-brainers: Americans spend more time online than other nationalities. Others are less so: People spend the most time online on Tuesdays and the least on  Sundays.

    As with many small businesses, Hartridge Technologies relies strongly on web traffic to generate revenue.  Analytic programs such as Awstats or Webalizer are fairly good tools that show us important traffic stats, but are only able to give you clues as to what marketing tactics may have worked or failed, keyword optimization, SEO, etc based on solely the incoming side of the equation.  How much will companies pay for solid metrics that put their site on the top of a “personally calibrated” list?  I would think the potential is enormous if the data supports the claim.
