A beta version of Apple’s [1] cloud-based music service, iTunes Match, was released to developers. iTunes Match [2] scans a user’s library and copies songs in iCloud [3], Apple’s cloud service. Users then have access to their music from any iOS device or computer.
iTunes Match is available for a $24.99 subscription for 12 months. The beta version is available as part of the iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1.
Developers using the beta service should backup their files, as Apple will reset users iCloud library throughout the test.
