Facebook announced its annual big to-do today, sending out invites to developers for its F8 conference on Sept. 22. Each year, techies descend on the conference location, which will be at The Design Center in San Francisco this year, to chat, mingle, and listen to Facebook’s latest plans.F8 will have a keynote session, break-out meetings, and a wrap-up event. Facebook could be announcing a number of new features, including the much-rumored “Project Spartan,” a collection of apps that use HTML5, and a unified inbox that places chat, email, wall posts, and statuses to one location. Other rumors point to a possible Skype partnership.
