No question: Google’s acquisition of Motorola will shake up the mobile landscape. But what exactly will the post-shakeup landscape look like? CNET‘s Marguerite Reardon has come up with five possible scenarios, some of them pretty interesting, as to how the rest of the market might respond.
Among the possibilities:
- Samsung and HTC release Windows 7 devices to lessen their dependence on Android;
- Amazon scraps plans to build an Android tablet and turns to WebOS instead;
- Sony-Ericsson is forced by investors to sell its patents.
