Samsung Galaxy Ban Lifted for (Almost) the Entire EU

Samsung [1] can breathe a sigh of relief—for now. In the battle with Apple over the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the European Union, the company has scored a minor victory in a technical ruling. A German court has sided with Samsung in its argument that the court does not have the power to impose a ban on the Tab for the entire EU.
For now, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available everywhere in the EU—except, you guessed it, in Germany.
But the fight is far from over—and it appears things might get uglier. Earlier this week, it was reported that the visual evidence that Apple used to secure a temporary injunction against Samsung might have been, er, adjusted. It has also been noted that Apple’s central argument against Samsung—that its tablet looks like a tablet—is a pretty weak one to take to court.
