
Nanigans, a start-up that has designed a Facebook advertising platform, has raised $3 million in a first-round fundraising push. The round was led by Avalon Ventures. One angel investor, Rich Levandov, is a managing director at Avalon who will join Nanigans’ board. Funds will be directed toward hiring and the expansion of the company’s ad platform.
Nanigans has also announced a partnership with Electronic Arts, the video game designer. An EA division called Playfish will have exclusive rights to Nanigans’ ad tech, and Nanigans will design ads for a new EA game, The Sims Social. Nanigans currently delivers ads for 200 customers.
