Infographic: The Mobile Workforce

With the help of technology, more employees are working remotely.

Today, three out of five workers say they don’t need to be in an office to be productive, even though just a few years ago it was expected that employees worked 9 to 5 in their cubicles. With tablets, laptops, smartphones, and Wi-Fi though, more and more employees are doing their business out of the office.

Social contact manager Gist, which was acquired by RIM earlier in the year, compiled and analyzed data about the mobile workforce and found it is an increasingly important trend in business. Take a look at this infographic of Gist’s findings.
