Missed Connections App Raises $1 Million

Cory Levy [1], 19, has $1 million, worried parents, and a mobile application that will begin to appear on college campuses starting later this month. Levy’s company, One, has developed a social app that will alert users when interests listed on a self-created profile match those of a person in the immediate vicinity.
Levy and his co-founder, Michael Callahan, say they want to eradicate missed connections. Their app will make its first appearance at UC Berkeley, and will then be slowly introduced at other universities, including the University of Texas and the University of Illinois.
Levy says he wants to introduce the app on college campuses first because it requires a concentrated number of users.
