An average of 10,000 new Web sites integrate with Facebook [3] every day. More than 2,200 new Tweets [4] are generated on Twitter every second. And LinkedIn [5] boasts about 100 million users.
Socialize is a start-up capitalizing on the fact that the social networking trend isn’t going away. The company just launched a software development kit (SDK) that will allow mobile app developers to add an in-app social networking layer to both new and existing mobile apps. The open source SDK can be implemented in a number of different ways, according to the needs of the developer.
For app users, Socialize-layered apps will enable social discovery and connection, and all in-app content can be easily shared via Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail. Developers, for their part, will be able to track a user’s “likes,” shares, and comments.
