Vimeo Pro Launches for Small Businesses

If you’re not convinced your business should have an online video presence, consider this statistic: 83 percent of the U.S. Internet audience viewed online video content in May and video ads reached 45 percent of the total U.S. population an average of 34 times during the month, reports comScore [1].

If you’d like to see your business getting a piece of that pie, you might check out a new service launched by Vimeo, the full-featured video streaming service frequented by independent film makers and other creatives. Vimeo Pro now lets you share video privately and securely with customers and employees, promote video campaigns on your web site, and integrate social networks and analytics to grow and measure your market.

For $199 a year, Vimeo Pro features 50 GB of space, 250,000 plays, HD embedding, customizable portfolio pages, extensive player customization, private video review pages, advanced analytics, social media sharing and broad privacy settings.

According to CNET, Vimeo Pro will compete with services like Viddler [2]Sprout [3], and Google Apps Business Video [4].
