Google Offers, the daily deals service Google launched in June that now operates in the New York City, San Francisco and Portland areas, will soon be benefiting from the company’s acquisition of Dealmap [1], a site that posts aggregated deals, discounts, and coupons to a local map, reports ZDNet. Dealmap says it has more than two million users of its web, mobile, social and e-mail products, and more than 85 million monthly visitors to its partner network.
Dealmap’s blog shares details about the transition:
“We believe that joining Google will help us innovate in new and unexplored areas of commerce…For the time being, we will continue to support The Dealmap’s core products and partner services. People will still be able to access local and daily deals through The Dealmap website, mobile apps, and daily email, and we’ll continue supporting The Dealmap API and feeds for existing sourcing and distribution partners.”
Google Offers is slated to expand to Austin, Boston, Denver, Seattle and Washington, D.C. “soon” says its web site. To learn more about how to use Google Offers for your business, go here [2].
