So you’re Google. You’ve just launched a huge new social network that’s quickly grown beyond 10 million users. You’ve also launched a whole new search website, and you’re about to release your second quarter earnings. What do you do?

Add a whole new feature to Google Voice, of course! Google Voice has been collecting information from users who identify telemarketer and robot calls as spam, and it’s now combining that information with its own spam-spotting algorithms to give users the option to send telemarketer and other unwanted calls to their spam folders without even ringing their phones.

A more peaceful dinnertime will be enjoyed by all.

If you want Google Voice to spam calls to your spam filter, you must turn on this feature in “Settings” under the “Calls” tab.
