A (now former) Transportation Security Administration employee named Nelson Santiago-Serrano has been charged with stealing $50,000 worth of electronic items from luggage at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport over the past six months. Police say he would take pictures of the gadgets, which included laptops, GPS devices, and cameras, and post them for sale on the Web, all while completing his shift for the TSA.
He was finally caught when a Continental employee spotted him stuffing an iPad down the front of his pants. Apparently he thought no one would notice. You just can’t make this stuff up.
