Since it went public in May, LinkedIn has seen a surge in traffic and is now the country’s second largest social network. A new service called Job Change Notifier lets you to track and receive notifications when one of your LinkedIn contacts changes jobs. How can this help SMBs?

For one thing, business-to-business startups and other sales organizations can now more quickly know when key contacts are promoted or move into decision-making roles. According to TechCrunch’s Rip Empson using the service is easy. Simply enter your e-mail address to receive alerts and choose who you want to track.
