Want to Hack a Facebook Account? There’s an App for That

The Faceniff app, released this month, makes it easy to hack Facebook accounts [1]. The app works on Android devices that have been “rooted,” and like every good app it’s extremely easy to use–”one-touch hacking” is how one security expert described it. And before you non-Facebook users get too smug, the app works on Twitter, YouTube, Amazon, and a Polish networking site as well. It even works on encrypted networks.
The point, of course, is to drive home a message about security risks and force services to take action. Or of course you could use it to post something embarrassing and make it look like it came from your ex.
Read more–and see video of Faceniff in action–at CNET [1].
