With more than 600 million registered users, Facebook has more potential customers than eBay and Amazon combined. Wishpond, a platform that aggregates millions of product listings from local retailers, is launching a new platform to help merchants sell products over Facebook and other social sites. The new service, RetailConnect, enables retailers to achieve greater online visibility by easily publishing product data to search engines, social networks, and mobile devices.

With Wishpond, it’s possible to create a fully functional Facebook store in just minutes. Wishpond will import data from any site that sells your products—including eBay, Shopify, and the Google Merchant Centre—and publish listings to a Facebook Store or Google Product search. When a customer selects a listing, Wishpond directs them back to the retailer site to check out.

A number of start-ups have attempted Facebook storefront platforms, but Wishpond differentiates itself with a widget that helps customers find the nearest store location, automatic updates to inventory, and a number of customization options.
