Thanks to Chrome’s new add-on “MightyText,” you’ll never miss an important text or phone call again while you’re on the computer.
The extension, which went live yesterday, is a free notification service where incoming calls and SMS messages appear on Chrome as a pop-up, giving you the option to reply to them on directly without ever needing to open the phone. For calls re-routed to MightyText, you can either hurry and find your phone or send the caller an auto-text reply.
The program is still in beta, but you can fill out a sign-up sheet to sign up for the service. Most invitations will get accepted within a few days. MightyText’s accompanying Android app is currently available on the Android Market.
