Loopt Lets Users Propose Daily Deals

In a unique twist on daily deals, Loopt has entered the arena with a new service called U-Deals which lets consumers request their own discounts. After submitting an idea for a deal, users can then drum up interest by way of social media channels like Facebook and Twitter. If the deal receives enough support, Loopt will contact the business and request that they offer the deal.

U-Deals, which launched in the San Fransico Bay Area, already landed Virgin America, which offered 500 $35 vouchers worth $100 in credit for fall flights. This deal sold out in 48 minutes, indicating the service might be something that latches on with the public. On the other hand, others have tried the concept without success, so only time will tell. Download the Loopt app for iPhone or Android if you want to try suggesting a deal of your choice.
