The new social network Planely has an interesting proposition: If you’re stuck at an airport or on a plane for too much of your life, you can use that time more productively by finding out if there’s anyone around you it would be useful to meet. Enter your flight numbers into Planely, and the service will find likely contacts around you at the airport or even on the plane who might be interested in ordering your product/investing in your next startup/sharing a ride to the conference you’re attending.
Now Planely users can exponentially increase that networking potential because the service just launched integration with LinkedIn to give you the profiles of Planely members nearby. That should make the service incredibly useful—if enough frequent flyers sign up.
