
The world’s most famous and successful entrepreneurs are easy to pick out: Richard Branson, Donald Trump, and Steve Jobs quickly come to mind. However, who are the true thought leaders among entrepreneurs? Thanks to Klout, a tool that measures online influence, The Huffington Post has enumerated the 10 most influential entrepreneurs on the Internet—at least at the moment.
By aggregating massive amounts of information from social sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, Klout breaks down this data according to the size of the engaged audience, the likelihood content will be acted upon (i.e. retweeted, or liked) by others, and the influence level of the engaged audience. Finally, Klout delivers an overall score, a number from 1 to 100.
Among Klout’s shortlist of influential entrepreneurs is AOL founder Steve Case, Kevin Rose, who founded Digg and Milk, and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, who also co-founded Square.
