Plizy: Pandora-like iPad App for Videos

Do you like Pandora and Flipboard? Are you looking for new ways to be entertained by your iPad? Does the idea of combining your social networks and your video-viewing appeal to you?
If you answered yes to all these, you’ll probably love Plizy, a start-up iPad app that uses your social network, Twitter stream, and some patent-pending algorithms to suggest videos [1] you might like to watch. Right now, the app offers videos from YouTube, Vimeo Revision 3, and Dailymotion, but hopes to add Hulu and Netflix in the future. Of course, Netflix is already pretty good at recommending videos to its users.
That said, Plizy has a lot of appeal. CNET’s Boonsri Dickinson liked the videos [2] it picked for her, and says she’ll likely use the service the next time she has time to kill and feels like watching videos. That’s pretty high praise from a busy tech blogger.
