Game Time Live, a social gaming company based in Highland Park, Illinois, has found a sponsor for their popular real-time sports prediction game GameSlam. Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillén, who won a World Series with the Sox in 2005, has officially been bestowed the prestigious title of “Slambassador” for GameSlam, according to ChicagoNow.

As Slambassador, the Venezuelan manager and former major league shortstop will join GameSlam fans in playing the game, offering expert strategy tips and helping market the game to mass audiences. GameSlam works by letting fans make real-time predictions on the actions of their favorite teams during live sporting events.

“The best thing about GameSlam is that it really gets you tuned back into the game of baseball,” Guillén said.  “I am a big fan of social networking and mobile games, but this is the first game that isn’t a distraction.  Instead, it’s a way to make watching baseball even more fun by involving fans in the action.”
