Starwood Hotels Adds Foursquare to Loyalty Program

Check-in with Foursquare at a Starwood hotel and receive rewards, points and badges.

Have a business trip coming up? If you’re a Foursquare fan, or interested in trying to win a free getaway, you might reconsider your hotel arrangements.

Mashable‘s Jennifer Van Grove reports that Foursquare, with its self-proclaimed mission to reinvent loyalty programs, has partnered with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. That means by checking-in with Foursquare at participating Starwood hotels you can get additional Starwood Preferred Guest (SGP) points, Foursquare badges and rewards.

Also, from now until July 31, 2011, SGP members who check-in using Foursquare will be eligible to win a resort getaway. Until May 31 Starwood also is hiding a Free Resort Night Award at some hotel locations.

There are more than 1,000 Starwood hotels, including St. Regis, W Hotels, Four Points, Westin, Le Meridien and Sheraton hotels.
