The social sites newly created @TwitterSuggests can get a little dirty.

Twitter’s tweaks to its recommendation service might have some members hot and bothered—and not necessarily in a good way. Twitter’s newly created @TwitterSuggests has been sending users tips on how to better use the service and whom they should follow. No problem there. But according to ReadWriteWeb’s Marshall Kirkpatrick, some of the recommendations are “kind of dirty.” Kirkpatrick recently noticed an interesting trend in the social networking site’s @ replies to users: some of them are definitely NSFW.

The @TwitterSuggests account was created in January by Pankaj Gupta, tech lead for user relevance; but with recommendations to follow accounts that feature NSFW images and content, some may question the, er,  relevance of Twitter’s relevance engine. Personalized recommendations are a step in the right direction, but there seems to be a greater need for…refinement. Read more at ReadWriteWeb.
