As the details of what is being dubbed as one of the biggest data breaches to date is gradually unfolding, the taunting message that the unknown hackers left on a file that Sony recovered seems to come straight out of a movie scene. The message reads, “We are Legion.”

The Wall Street Journal notes that the tagline is known to be affiliated with the group known as Anonymous, Internet vigilantes that have created trouble for Sony in the past. Though many fingers are pointing to Anonymous for the breach, there’s no evidence leading investigators to them, and the group denies any involvement.

“Whether those who participated in the denial-of-services attacks were conspirators or whether they were simply duped into providing cover for a very clever thief, we may never know,” Sony says. Read more from The Wall Street Journal.

You are a day late INC. Some due diligence is in order. Anonymous stated that they did not hack Sony nor did that another group must have done so and left the false trail. Anonymous usually takes credit for what it has done.

I live off of Piuma Road in an unincorporated area of LA County.  Yesterday when I drove home, just turning left off Malibu Canyon Road onto Piuma Road, the highway construction sign which was flashing about construction ahead had this message:  WE ARE LEGION -ANON

Today, the ninth of August the road sign is off.
